13 May Director General of the Ministry of humanitarian – Federal government of Somalia Attends a High Level Conference on Drought in the Horn of Africa Region
The Director General of the Ministry of humanitarian and Disaster Management, Mr. Ahmed Abukar Ahmed (Ahmed Wali) attended a High Level Conference on Drought Situation in the Horn of Africa in Nairobi, organized by the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD). attended by high-level delegations from IGAD member states.
The Director General of the Ministry of humanitarian and Disaster Management, Mr. Ahmed Wali, addressed the gathering on the Drought Situation in the country and the Government’s efforts to address the drought, also present was IGAD Secretary General Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu.
The conference issued a statement outlining the severity of the drought and jointly responding to the effects of the drought.
