19 May Minister Of Humanitarian and Disaster Management Hon. Khadija launches AMISOM Aid Distribution.

A ceremony at AMISOM headquarters in Mogadishu was attended by the Minister of Relief and Disaster Management XJFS Hon. Khadija Mohamed Diriye and the Special Representative of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission for Somalia Amb. Francisco C.J. Madeira 
and the Commanders of the Military Command, AMISOM Police and AMISOM Humanitarian Head of Mission Abdul Baqit.

Abdul Baqit, AMISOM's Head of Humanitarian Affairs, welcomed the participants.

"AMISOM is committed to helping the people of Somalia. We have prepared dry and other non-food items for the Minister. These supplies are available at our facilities in the country and our plan is to distribute them to the vulnerable." ” Amb. Francisco Madeira.

The closing remarks were welcomed by the Minister of Relief and Disaster Management XJFS Xil. Khadija Mohamed Diriye said: 
"I am grateful to AMISOM for its role in the war, which is not limited to war. There are indeed many humanitarian crises in many parts of the country."

The Minister Khadija added: "I came to the record of the Ministry of Aid that you took on various roles during the expulsion of you and the Somali National Army from the enemy of Al-Shabaab."
