04 Jul Ministry of humanitarian affairs – MohADM and Freedom Day organizing committee send relief supplies to Afbarwaqo district in Mudug region
The Minister of humanitarian affairs and Disaster Management – MoHADM Hon Khadija Mohamed Diriye, the Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the Independence Day Acting Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Senator Osman Dubbe, members of the committee and the Director General of the Ministry of Relief and Hon Ahmedwali today sent relief supplies to Afbarwaqo in Mudug region in line with the order of JFS President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to deliver relief supplies to regional governments in the country to reduce the impact of the drought on the community.
The supplies were handed over to the second deputy speaker of the galmudug state parliament Fadumo Abdi Ali Faandhe who returned to galmudug today.
Afbarwaqo and its environs are among the areas most affected by the drought in the country, especially the galmudug state.
Fadumo thanked JFS President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the Independence Day Organizing Committee in general and the Ministry of Aid for the good coordination of the Independence Day celebrations and the assistance of drought-affected people to deliver relief supplies to the states. all over the country
Minister Dubbe noted that the implementation of the order of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, is still in progress.
The minister appealed to the Somali community to help their drought-affected brothers and sisters in the worst-hit areas of the country.
